Selection of two NET qualified JRF under UGC/CSIR or any other National fellowship program such as ICMR/DBT/ DST ISPIRE/DFSL etc.

Environmental Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Laboratory, Department of Biochemistry, UCMS is actively involved in the areas of Toxicogenomics, Environmental Health, Environmental Biochemistry, Basic Toxicology, Biochemistry, Immunotoxicology and Ecotoxicology for the last two decades. More than 150 Research papers have been published in various International/National journals of high repute and more than 20 research projects funded by CSIR, ICMR, UGC, CPCB, MOEF, AYUSH etc have been executed till date. Moreover, this laboratory has also actively pursued the thesis works of nearly 100 MD/ PhD/ DNB candidates in different pre/para & clinical subjects. Applications are invited from NET qualified JRFs under UGC/CSIR or any national fellowship program such as ICMR/DBT/DFSL/DST INSIPRE etc with academic qualifications as mentioned below and interested to work in the field of Environmental Health, Toxicogenomics, Proteomics and Disease markers with reference to the following thrust areas:

  • Metabolic disorders like Diabetes, Chronic kidney disease etc.
  • Reproductive Biology
  • Neurological disorders
  • Cancer Biology
  • Environmental Biology( Role of Xenobiotic, Microwave/ Radiation exposure etc in Health and Disease)

Successful candidate after selection will have to undergo one year research training based on ongoing research programs in the laboratory. If found suitable such a candidate may apply for Ph.D program under Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi as per norms. They also have to participate for formulation of new research concept for successful execution of the same as research project/ Ph.D protocol.

Junior Research FellowTWO

Qualifications: M.Sc. (with minimum 60% marks) or M.Tech (with CGPA ≥ 6.5) in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Toxicology/ Biosciences/ Biomedical or Environmental Sciences with good academic background. Aptitude in the field of Environmental Biology/ Toxicology/ Molecular Biology/ Immunology for its application in Health and Diseases will be preferred.

Age limit: 28 years; relaxation as per Govt. of India rules.
