INDO-US International Congress-cum-Workshop on IPR

The 21st century is known as an era of science and technology. The research, innovation and technology should lead to commercial/societal utilization for which the IP issues are of immense importance.
The primary objective of the proposed workshop is to unfold the fundamental aspects and applications of IP at global level for its benefit to all stakeholders. The technical sessions will address five thematic areas: Bioresources and Biodiversity, Traditional Knowledge and Indian Systems of Medicine, Varietal Development and Plant Variety Protection, Green Technologies and Agriculture, Neutraceuticals. The lead and plenary lectures will be delivered by senior scientists/technocrats from universities/research organizations and legal experts from USA and India. The workshop is expected to be attended by 200 participants including graduate students, faculty members, scientists, government officials, policy makers, members of print and electronic media, R&D organizations, corporate and patent attorneys involved in generation of IP and its application for economic growth.
