Junior Research Fellow
ICRISAT seeks applications from Indian nationals for the post of Junior Research Fellow (WATER4CROPS-INDIA Project) to be based at Patancheru, Andhra Pradesh, India. This is a nationally recruited position.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting lab and field experiments and collecting primary and secondary data at research station and farmers fields;
- Supervise field staff, guide field data collection and check data quality
- Assist scientists in the preparation of technical reports, research papers
- Monitoring of multi-location trials and working closely with project partners
Competencies:
- Keen analytical skills and ability to conduct, monitor and evaluate experimental trials;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Ability to develop, manage and deliver products within agreed timeframe.
Requirements:
- Graduate degree in engineering or post-graduate in agriculture/bio-chemistry/micro-biology/environmental science/natural resources management; or and preferably with experience in working on waste water reuse and management
General: This position is a nationally recruited staff position for three years and renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the Institute's continuing need for the position. An attractive compensation is offered for the right candidate.
