Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow in a Major Research Project entitled “Dietary Phytate-Mineral Interactions: Role in suppressing colon cancer” sanctioned by Department of Bio- Technology, Government of India.

Any Interested candidates are requested to submit the applications on plain paper giving all details and enclosing attested copies of certificates in support of all information furnished such as educational qualifications. The conditions of employment will be the same as for the project staff on contract basis. The candidates have no right to claim for any regular employment at this University. The Registrar & Appointing Authority has the right to accept / reject any application without assigning any reason and no correspondence in this matter will be entertained. No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the Interviews/ written test.

Essential Qualifications: 1st Class M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Micro Biology/Genetics/Biotechnology from any recognized University. The candidates who have qualified in the CSIR/UGC / ICMR/PGI National Entrance Test (NET)/SET and have a valid certificate are preferred.

Desirable: Experience in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology techniques.

Age: Below 30 years. Relaxation of age is admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per G.O.I. rules.

Consolidated Fellowship: Rs.16,000/- plus HRA p.m. (fixed) without any other allowances (as per DBT guidelines)

Tenure: Initially for one year and it will be extendable depending upon the performance of the candidate and funds position.
