Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of one position of (A) Research Associate (RA) and one (B) Project Assistant (PA) in the DBT funded project entitled “Mapping of mungbean yellow mosaic India virus (MYMIV) resistance loci in soybean” and one (C) Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the scheme of “Short-Term Research Fellowship” programme, with Dr. Manoj Prasad, Scientist, NIPGR. The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, which can be curtailed or extended based on the performance of the candidate and discretion of the Competent Authority.
(A) Research Associate (one post): Emoluments as per sanctioned in project.
Candidates having Ph. D. degree or equivalent in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology or any other related field are eligible to apply. The candidate should have a good academic record and research experience as evidenced from published papers in standard referred journals. Candidate having research experience in the area of Advanced Molecular Biology, Genomics, Transcriptomics, In-silico Data Analysis etc., will be given preference.
(B) Project Assistant (one post): Emoluments as per sanctioned in project.
Candidates having M. Sc. degree in any subject of Life Sciences are eligible to apply. Candidate should have first class/division throughout academic career. Prior research experience in the area of plant molecular biology is highly desirable.
(C) Senior Research Fellow (one post): Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms.
Candidates having M. Sc. degree with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent, in Bioinformatics with two years of post M. Sc. research experience are eligible to apply. Experience on working with In-silico biology and genomics is highly desirable.
NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of post shall be as per Govt. of India norms.
