The Punjab Public Service Commission invites Online Application Forms from eligible Candidates for following Posts :
1) 05 Posts of Scientific Officers in the Department of Home Affairs and Justice, Government of Punjab.
2) 10 Posts of Scientific Assistants in the Department of Home Affairs and Justice, Government of Punjab
Note: This Advertisement is being published as per requisition received from the Department of Home Affairs and Justice, Government of Punjab vide their Letter No. 1/17/2011-3H 2/222, 768, 4000 & 5785 dated 09/01/2013, 05/02/2013, 22/8/2013 and 14/11/2013 and is subject to any modification or amendment that may be made by the Government subsequently.
The number of vacancies, reservation breakup and qualifications are as follows :
1. SCIENTIFIC OFFICERS
PAY SCALE: Rs. 10300-34800 + 4400/- Grade Pay
2 Scientific Officer (Biology) 01
General Should Possess :
a) M.Sc. degree in Botany or Zoology or Microbiology or Bio-Chemistry or Forensic Science or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution; and
b) an experience of research and analysis for a minimum period of two years in any of the subject mentioned in clause (a) in a Government department/public sector undertaking or any other organization.
c) Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard
4 Scientific Officer (Serology) 01
Should Possess :
a) M.Sc. degree in Zoology or Botany or Microbiology or Biochemistry or Forensic Science from a recognized university or institution ; and
b) an experience of research and analysis for a minimum period of two years in any of the subject mentioned in clause (a) in a Government department/ public sector undertaking or any other organization.
c) Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard.
5 Scientific Officer (Toxicology) 01 ESM/LDESM, (General), Pb.
Should Possess :
a) M.Sc. degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Forensic Science or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution ; and
b) an experience of research and analysis for a minimum period of two years in any of the subject mentioned in clause (a) in a Government department/ public sector undertaking or any other organization.
c) Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard.
2. SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANTS
PAY SCALE: Rs. 10300-34800 + 3800/- Grade Pay
2 Scientific Assistant (Biology)
General Should Possess :
a) M.Sc. degree in Zoology or Botany or Micro Biology or Bio- Chemistry or Forensic Science or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution; and
Should have passed:b) B.Sc. Examination from recognized university or institution with Zoology and Botany as one of the subject.
c) Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard.
6 Scientific Assistant (Serology)
General Should Possess :
a) M.Sc. degree in Zoology or Botany or Micro Biology or Bio- Chemistry or Forensic Science or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution ; and
Should have passed:b) B.Sc. Examination from recognized university or institution with Zoology or Botany as one of the subject.
c) Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard.
7 Scientific Assistant (Toxicology)
Sports Person, Pb.
Should Possess :
a) M.Sc. degree in Chemistry or Bio- Chemistry or Forensic Science or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution ; and Should have passed:
b) B.Sc. Examination from recognized university or institution with Chemistry as one of the subject.
c) Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard.
8 Scientific Assistant (Teaching) 3
General- 01 Balmiki/ Mazhbi Sikh, Pb. –01 B.C. Pb. –01
Should Possess :
a) M.Sc. degree in Physics or Chemistry or Botany or Zoology or Bio-Chemistry or Micro Biology or Forensic Science or its equivalent from a recognized university or
institution ;
b) Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard.
