Applications are invited from qualified individuals for a Junior Research Fellow position, sponsored by the DBT project entitled “Identification of miRNAs essential for B cell fate commitment of multipotent hematopoietic progenitors” (BT/PR1825/AGR/36/679/2011).

Dr. Pongubala’s laboratory is investigating the molecular pathways that control the development of innate and adaptive immune cell types utilizing a combination of genetic, molecular and computational approaches. Responsibility of project-JRF candidate is expected to perform high-throughput sequence (NGS) data analysis. The candidate should have a good programming skills in Perl/Python and work experience in Linux environment.
Applicants for project-JRF should have a masters degree with a strong background in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from a reputed University.
Candidates must have secured an aggregate marks greater than 70% or a 7.5 CGPA. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment with an aspiration to learn new techniques and explore new scientific areas is highly desired. Candidates with JRF-fellowship through CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT-A will be encouraged to enroll into Ph.D. program.
