Foreign Professor & Postdoctoral Researcher Positions

Applications are invited for a Foreign Professor and a Postdoctoral Researcher position to undertake innovative research in the Department of Biotechnology, Yeungnam University, Republic of Korea (http://www.yu.ac.kr/en/main/index.php). The applicant should hold a Ph.D in plant biology with good international publications. Experience in some or all of the following disciplines are desirable: plant molecular biology or plant biochemistry or plant epigenetics. Good oral and written communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team are required.The successful candidates will participate in any of the following projects.
Project: Understanding of sound wave perception in Arabidopsis.
1. Study on sound wave mediated epigenetic changes which will include CHIP assay, Bisulfite sequencing and small RNA sequencing.
2. Role of mechano-channels in sound wave perception which will include patch clamp techniques, FRET mediated cytosolic calcium measurement and mutant studies.

Salary will be ~USD 2,000 per month. For Foreign Professor position, housing(USD 450/month) and incentive for each publication as a main author will be provided additionally.Foreign professor position is for two years and post doc position is for one year, which can be extended based on performances.
