Applications are invited from the citizens of India for filling up the following temporary position for the sponsored project undertaken in the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering of this Institute. The position is temporary initially for a period of 1 Year and tenable only for the duration of the project. The requisite qualification & experience etc. are given below:
13BRNS004 : "Proteomic analysis of severe and non-severe vivax malaria from different endemic areas of India to identify diagnostic and prognostic markers; and correlate host responses with disease severity" (BOARD OF RESEARCH IN NUCLEAR SCIENCES)
Junior Research Fellow (1 Post )
Consolidated salary Rs.16000.00/-p.m.
Qualification Post Graduate (PG) Degree in Basic Sciences & NET qualified Or Graduate Degree in Professional Courses and GATE or equivalent qualification. M.Sc. first class in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Medical Sciences.
Candidates should have sound background in molecular biology, biochemistry and extensive laboratory experience in proteomics (2D-DIGE, Mass Spectrometry).
Candidate should have good skill of writing scientific project report and manuscripts related to project.
Selection criteria: Assignments, written test and/or interview.
Job Profile To perform proteomics based experiments on malaria clinical samples.
The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
