Advertisement for Project Positions

As part of this laboratory's research on gene regulatory mechanisms including understanding the role of chromatin in transcription governing skin pigmentation, applications are invited for the following positions in the CSIR funded project "System-based Computational Model of Skin".

Position 1: Project Associate

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Bioinformatics/any branch of Life Sciences with a strong academic record. Candidates should have a keen aptitude and knowledge for understanding gene regulatory networks, genomics, and knowledge of computer language such as PERL programming is required. Desirable: Hands-on experience in microarray data analysis and programming would be preferred.

Position 2: Project Assistant

Essential Qualifications: Higher Secondary/10+2 passed. Candidates with prior experience of working in a modern research laboratory in an academic institution and experience of maintaining project-related bills will be preferred. Candidates are expected to work in the laboratory to provide research support including animal handling, and maintain project-related bills, and in procurement and maintenance of stocks and supplies.

Emoluments: Selected candidates would draw fixed emoluments as approved.
