Applications are invited to the temporary posts of Research Assistants in the project ICAR’s XIIth Plan - Institutional grant component at AMPRS, Odakkali - ‘Strengthening Research on Medicinal Plants & Bioactive Components’ for 1 year and two months (from February, 2014 to 31/3/2015) or till the completion of the project if extended, on contract basis.

I. ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY
1. The candidate should possess essential qualification as on the date of notification.
2. Should have scored a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination.
3. Age should not exceed 36 years as on 01-01-2014 (age limit is relaxable for 3 years in case of OBC and 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates)

Fill all the cells in the row marked as “Candidate entry” and send the same as e mail attachment to amprs@kau.in.
There is no need to send application or any documents by post.
The last date for receipt of applications by email is 05-02-2014.
III. INTERVIEW (Probable date: February-March, 2014)
The selection will be finalised on the basis of an interview which will be conducted at Aromatic & Medicinal Plants Research Station, Odakkali, located 10 km on the Perumbavoor – Kothamangalam road in Ernakulam Dist, Kerala. It is 25 km from Cochin International Airport and 28 km from Aluva railway station.
The date and time of interview will be published on the KAU website : www.kau.edu. No individual communication will be sent by post.
IV. DOCUMENTS TO BE PRESENTED AT THE TIME OF INTERVIEW
1. Application form in the MS word format given below duly filled
2. Photo ID card of the candidate
3. Originals of all the relevant documents in the list below.
i. Certificate to prove date of birth
ii. Non-creamy layer certificate (Essential only in case of OBC Ezhava candidates who apply for the post of RA Chemistry)
iii. SSLC marklist
iv. Higher secondary mark list
v. B.Sc. degree certificate
vi. B.Sc. mark list
vii. Post graduate degree certificate, if any
viii. Post graduate degree mark list
ix. Certificate of experience in related jobs, if any
x. Scientific publications, other trainings & certifications in the field, if any.
Self attested copy of all the documents in the list above must be attached to the application form.
V. OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Applications received late or incomplete in any respect will be summarily rejected without notice and the decision of the undersigned on such matters will be final.
2. The positions are temporary and the incumbents stand terminated on the date of termination of the scheme. Working in the scheme will not entitle the candidate for any claim in future appointment to any post in the University.
3. The undersigned shall have the right to terminate the appointment of an incumbent if his/her work/conduct is found unsatisfactory.
4. Once posted, the incumbent has to give one month’s prior notice in writing to quit the job before the end of the project period. Otherwise, one month’s salary will be forfeited.
