Applications are invited for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB, New Delhi) sponsored Research Project entitled “Isolation of novel alkalophilic laccase producing bacteria: Biobleaching (delignification) of wheat straw rich soda pulp and screening of cost effective laccase mediator system (LMS)”.
The project is tenable up to one year & probable further extension of two years is contingent to progress of the work. The interview shall be held on 17 Feb. 2014 at 11:00 am in the office of Coordinator, Biotechnology Branch, UIET, Sec. 25-B, Panjab University, Chandigarh. No T.A. & D.A are permissible for appearing in the interview.
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Microbiology, Biotechnology or Biophysics with at least 55% marks.
The selected candidate with NET qualified for lectureship will be paid Rs. 12000/p.m + 20% HRA. A candidate who has qualified NET with fellowship will be paid Rs. 16000/p.m + 20% HRA.
The application on plain paper giving detailed biodata along with attested copies of the testimonials should be present with candidates during interview.
Desirable: Prior knowledge of microbial enzymes and isolation of bacteria/fungi will be preferable.
