Advertisement for two Junior Research Fellow Positions in Plant Molecular Biology

Applications are invited for the two positions of Junior Research Fellow to work under SERB, DST sponsored research project “Functional characterization of Metacaspase gene family in Solanum lycopersicum”. Duration of project is for three years.

The research work will involve characterization of Metacaspases in tomato plant using various molecular genetic, cell biological and biochemical based approaches. The work also includes generation and molecular characterization of Metacaspases RNAi and overexpresser lines in tomato.

Junior Research Fellow: 02

Fellowship: Rs.16,000/-plus 20% HRA per month.

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. degree in Botany/ Plant Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or related subject with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent grade.

Desirable Qualification: Research experience in Plant Molecular biology, Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry are highly desirable.

Preference will be given to NET/GATE qualified candidates.
