Biotech Park Lucknow Workshop on Application of Computational Biology, System Biology and RNAi technology in Agriculture and Health care | July 22 –24, 2014

Workshop on

"Application of Computational Biology, System Biology and RNAi technology in Agriculture and Health care"

Organised By

Biotech Park, Lucknow

Sponsored By

Department of Biotechnology
Govt. of India

The Workshop

The workshop aims:

  1. To Acquaint the participants with applications of bioinformatics in Agriculture and Health Care.
  2. To familiarize participants with application of bioinformatics to manage biological data regarding plant genome.
  3. To expose the participants with the recent methods of Agri-Informatics which lead to the successfulselection of healthier and disease resistant varieties through guided practical training.
  4. To apprise participants with in silico chemical and structural designing and preparation of molecular structures (stabilization, energy minimization of plant protein) and various tools and techniques of bioinformatics.

Objectives

The participants of the workshop will be accessing offline and online resources of macromolecule libraries, sequences, molecular structures and plant database. They would also learn about prediction and analysis of various properties of compounds, bimolecular structure prediction and visualization and their interaction analysis. The practical knowledge gained through this hands-on workshop will empower participants in the field of in-silico analysis of plant genome and their role in health care in order to enhance their employment potential in academia and industrial research
