Applications are invited for the position of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) purely on a temporary basis to work on a two year project entitled “Generation of thermostable variants of a mesophilic amylase by directed evolution and their characterization” sponsored and funded by the Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM). Tenure of the fellowship is coterminous with the project and emoluments will be as per GSBTM norms and also of this university.

Position: One JRF
Duration: 2 Years or end of the project, whichever is earlier
Essential qualification: Master’s degree in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Life Science with minimum 55% marks
Age limit: Candidate should be not more than 28 years
Desirable: Candidates should have good knowledge and experience on techniques of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Protein Science techniques.
Fellowship: Rs. 12,000 + 20% HRA per month (I & II Year) as per rule.

• Position in the project is purely temporary for the period of duration of the project.
• If performance of candidate is not found to be satisfactory, position can be terminated within one month of notice.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
