The Cytometry Society, India (TCS), Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (CCHRC) and Indian Institute of Technology- Guwahati announces the flow cytometry course. The course provides training on flow cytometer for graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, hematologists, medical technologists, and other basic and clinical researchers. This course offers:
Day 1: Basics of flow Cytometry & Instrumentation
Ø Basics of Instrumentation
Ø Threshold, color-compensation, linear/log amplification
Ø Collection of signals, threshold & compensation
Day 2 (AM): Nuclear DNA contents (C value) in plant homogenates
Ø Buffer selection and preparation
Ø Standardization- Internal, external and pseudo-internal
Ø Sample preparation, data acquisition and analysis
Day 2 (PM): DNA content and marker expression in tumor cell
Ø cell cycle analysis from cancer & normal tissue, blood, pleural or other body fluid
Ø Marker expression in tumour cells
Day 2: Participants Discussion, Test and graduation

Registration fees of Rs.4500 should be paid before 31st October through Demand Draft issued in favor of “Cachar Cancer Hospital Academic Account” and payable at UCO Bank, Silchar Branch, Silchar-788015. Please mention name and contact number of participants at the backside of Demand Draft.
Selected participants will be given accommodation; however travel has to be borne by the participants themselves.
