Recruitment for Graduate Program (Ph.D or United Master/Ph.D course)

Graduate studentships are currently available in the Cell Communication Laboratory located at Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Research Center associated to Brain Korea 21 (BK21) program in Gyeongsang National University (GNU), Jinju, South Korea.

The graduate student candidate will take part in a project "Intercelluar communication through plasmodesmata in plants" in the program funded by the Korea Science and Engineering Foundation (KOSEF) or Rural Development Administration (RDA). The research goals in our lab are to elucidate 1) the function of non-cell-autonomous transcription factors, 2) the mechanisms of cell-to-cell and long-distance trafficking of proteins, 3) the function and regulation of plasmodesmata, 4) the function and mechanism of long distance trafficking of proteins and RNA through the phloem, 5) function of PD associated receptor-like kinases and to develop synthetic biological tools for cell communication studies and biotechnology.
