Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow under research project funded by Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) as follows:

Title of the project: Radiation induced chromosomal translocations between wheat (Triticum aestivum) and rye (Secale cereale) genome as a means of transferring genes of economic interest to wheat.

Project duration: Three years

Emoluments: Rs 16,000 p.m. + HRA @ 20% for first two years and Rs 18,000 p.m. + HRA @ 20% for third year.

Academic qualification: B.Sc. in agriculture/biosciences with minimum OCPA 2.00/4.00 or 5.00/10.00 basis or 50% marks and M.Sc./Ph.D. in plant breeding/plant breeding and genetics/genetics ‘crop plants’/biosciences with minimum OCPA 3.4/4.00 or 6.5/10.00 or 60% marks.

Experience: Experience in field work and molecular biology related work.
