2nd SERB School in Avian Biology

The Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), a statutory body of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has initiated a programme of School in Avian Biology. The aim of this School is to expose young researchers to current trends and advances in avian biology.

The current School is the second in this series and is being held at the Department of Zoology and Environmental Science, Gurukula Kangri University, Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The faculty of the School will include leading researchers of the country and abroad. The course will comprise lectures, labs, and field training covering key areas of research in avian biology.

The programme is open to students of life/physical/environmental sciences, currently pursuing M.Sc. (final year), M.Phil., Ph.D. and Post-doc in India. Young faculty members in their early research career may also apply. Those interested may apply with CV (photograph, date of birth, complete postal address with e-mail id and mobile no., educational qualifications with relevant details, training and professional experience in the research field, and a list of research publications if any), two recommendation letters, and a brief statement of purpose (in 250 words) to attend the School.

Selected participants will be provided to and fro train fare (max. AC III train fare) and local hospitality.

There is no registration fee.
