APPOINTMENT UNDER RESEARCH PROJECT

Eligible candidates are requested to send a copy of resume, experience certificate if any, photograph along with the attested copies of the certificates/testimonials by 23rd December 2014at the address given below for the position of JRF/SRF for the period of three year, and extendable till the operation of project, and under UGC sponsored project of Prof. Vibha Tandon (PI) entitled:

"Design & Synthesis of a library of bis-benzimidazole and their biological evaluation as an antibacterial agent, with specific relevance to E.coli. Topoisomerase I inhibition." { Project No.42-383 / 2013 (SR )}

The project involves both chemistry as well as biology research work. A student with Masters in Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences with research experience of one to two years will be preferred.

Eligibility: A student with Masters in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Life Sciences. This project involves a synthesis of number of Chiral Benzimidazoles, using coupling chemistry and special chiral catalyst. The candidate with masters in Chemical Sciences discipline having an experience of one year on synthetic chemistry, organic chemistry, development of novel methodology, chiral synthesis will be preferred. The student with Biology background should have an experience in protein expression, purification, cloning, DNA isolation, agarose gel running, SDS gel running, PCR, DNA sequencing, Western Blotting, confocal microscopy, spectroscopy & fluorescence microscopy.

Duration of Project: 1.5 Years.
