The GEER Foundation, Gandhinagar invites applications for the following project based contractual posts for the study titled ‘Conservation Mapping of Little Rann of Kachchh Landscape’ under the BCRLIP project (second attempt)

Subject Lead Person (Flora) 1

M.Phil. with min. 3 years of relevant post qualification research experience OR Ph.D. with relevant research experience in Botany/ Taxonomy/Life Science from a recog. univ.

Subject Lead Person (Fauna) 1

M.Phil. with min. 3 years of relevant post qualification research experience OR Ph.D. with relevant research experience in Zoology/ Wildlife Science/Life Science from a recog. univ.

Junior Research Fellow (Fauna) 1

M.Sc. Zoology/Forestry/ Wildlife Science from a recognized university with min. 65% Essential knowledge of taxonomy and ecology of terrestrial and wetland depended fauna (mammals, birds, reptiles, etc.)

30 14,000 + 10% HRA (if not NET qualified)  OR 16,000 + 10% HRA (if NET qualified)

Field intensive job with headquarter at Bajana/ Adesar/ Dhrangadhra

Technical Assistant (Flora) 1

M.Sc. (Botany) from recognized university OR B.Sc. (Botany) with min. 60%

Basic knowledge of plant taxonomy and ecology (macroflora) in terrestrial and/ or aquatic ecosystem

30 8,000 + 10% HRA

Field intensive job with headquarter at Bajana/ Adesar/ Dhrangadhra

*Depending on qualification and relevant ecological research experience.

Note: (1) Good scientific report writing skill in English is essential for all the above posts. (2) All the above posts are on contractual basis for the Project period only. (3) Candidates in final semester may also apply provided they qualify the above criteria. (4) There is a likelihood of increase in the salary of the staff in line with the recent increase in DST norms of fellowship, which will be applicable to the above listed posts, when and whatever far it is adapted for GEER Foundation. (5) Based upon the performance and subject to the sanction of new projects, the contract can be extended beyond the project duration also.
