Applications are invited for the position of a Research Associate (RA) in a DBT, Ministry of Science & Technology, New Delhi sponsored project on “BIOREFINERY FOR COST EFFECTIVE BIOETHANOL PRODUCTION FROM BIODEGRADABLE MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE: TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT AND ITS VALIDATION AT PILOT SCALE” to be executed in the Department of Microbiology, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The duration of the project is upto July 2016. Interested candidates may submit their applications along with detailed resume, attested copies of certificates and research experience to the undersigned by Monday, 12th January, 2015.
Essential Qualifications: Ph.D degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Microbial Biotechnology having experience in Industrial Enzymology/ Biotechnology of Biomass conversion/ Fermentation Technology/ Ethanol production
Salary: Rs. 22,000 + HRA.

Exact date and time of the interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates separately by post or email. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview. The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
