23 February 2015 to 7 March 2015

Department of Crop Physiology, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru 560 065

A training programme on ‘Phenotyping for drought adaptive traits and trait introgression through molecular approaches’ is scheduled between 23 February and 7 March 2015 at the Department of Crop Physiology, University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bengaluru. The training aims at providing theoretical basis and hands on experience on accurate phenotyping of the relevant drought adaptive traits and their pyramiding by molecular approaches including QTL and gene discovery.

Who can apply: Faculty/Scientists/Researchers/Postdoctoral Researchers belong to SAU’s/ICAR and other Research Institutes. Persons already engaged in research on drought tolerance in plants will be preferred. The candidates, who wish to participate in the training programme may submit their curriculum vitae and a brief write-up on the motivation to attend the training programme. The selected candidates will be given free accommodation in a guesthouse on a sharing basis for the period of training. However, no TA/DA will be provided to the participants attending the training programme.
