Eligibility: The candidate should have 55% marks in regular post-graduation (M.Sc.) in
Biotechnology/ Animal Biotechnology/ Medical Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Molecular Biology/Molecular Biology and Biotechnology/ Molecular Cell Biology/ Cell Biology/ Genetics/Microbiology/ Biochemistry / Pharmacology/ Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Toxicology/ Zoology/Biosciences/ Molecular Medicine/ related subjects. The candidates holding MD/ MDS/ MS/ M.Pharm/MVSc/ M.Tech. /Equivalent degree in the related subjects can also apply for the same.

Selection Procedure: The candidates will be selected for Ph.D. through entrance examination and subsequent interviews conducted by the University. The candidates holding ICMR/DBT/UGC/CSIRJRF (NET) will be given preference in the interview.

Entrance Examination Pattern: The entrance test shall be of hundred (100) multiple choice questions. 50 questions shall be of general nature (reasoning, general awareness, mathematics, chemistry, physics, computer, general biology and scientific awareness), intended to assess the research aptitude of the candidate. 50 Questions will of the subject for which the candidate is applying.

Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Cell Culture, Genetics, Life Sciences, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Molecular Cell Biology, Recombinant DNA Technology, Immunology, Cell Signalling, Cancer Biology, Disease and disorders, Gene expression and regulation, Basics of Molecular Medicine, Genomics and Proteomics, Stem Cell Biology, Molecular Endocrinology, Laboratory techniques, statistics, Bioinformatics, etc.

Last Date of Application: 5 th January 2015

Application fee: Demand draft of Rs. 1500/- In favor of ‘Swami Vivekanand Subharti University’ payable at Meerut or cash deposit at account Department, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University.

Date of Entrance Exam.: 18th January 2015 (10am -12 pm) 2h at Subharti University, Meerut only.
