Specialization in microbiology or mycology or microbial ecology and with minimum 2/4 years research experience in taxonomy of lower fungi or basidiomycetous fungi or yeasts or bacteria or archaea or anaerobic bacteria or extremophilic bacteria or cyanobacteria or microbial diversity or microbial ecology or microbial evolution. Experience in isolation, culturing and characterization of different groups of microorganisms and their long term preservation methods. Working experience in modern techniques related to microbial taxonomy, diversity and evolution related research. Research experience must be substantiated by publications in reputed journals. The incumbent/s will join a team of scientists in MTCC in providing high quality services to the scientific community in the areas of characterization, preservation and supply of microbial cultures. In addition, the selected candidate has to pursue top quality research in microbial taxonomy, diversity, ecology and evolution and is expected to establish himself/herself within a reasonable time as an expert in one or more of the above areas.
