About the Conference

Realization of the immense importance of the biodiversity asset makes sense to take initiation towards the conservation of these resources. Global ecosystem services are valued at US$33 trillion per year and it is of great concern that by 2050 biodiversity loss will be valued at 7% of the world's GDP. Large quantities of materials are being collected from the bush or the oceans for screening of novel natural products having nutraceutical and/or therapeutic potentiality. In many cases the species extinct before they are described. Moreover, the vast majority of extinctions go unnoticed because they occur within small strongly neglected organisms. Since the development of the molecular tools these issues are expected to be addressed in more proper way which includes molecular taxonomy, phylogeny study, microarray, drug candidature evaluation and many high through put techniques.

This national level conference will create an opportunity to bring together researchers from academia, industry, students, environmental activists and organizations to encourage collaborations through research and scientific finding presentations to put forward many ideas towards the development of strategies for conservation and sustainable utilization of bio-resources using classical and advanced molecular approaches.
