POST DOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Applications with credentials on plain paper or electronically via e-mail are invited until 23.4.2015 from the eligible candidates having following qualifications and expertise for the purely temporary post of Post Doctoral Research Associate on monthly consolidated emoluments of Rs. 25,300/- only (including 10% HRA), to be engaged in the Indian Council of Medical Research funded research project “Molecular Profiling Studies on CNS (Brain and Spinal) Tumors” for a period of one year or until the termination of the project sanctioned in the Department of Biotechnology & Molecular Medicine. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Master Degree in Biotechnology/Life Science from a recognized university.

2. Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology/Life Science or allied discipline from a recognized institution.

3. Demonstrated expertise in Molecular Techniques applied to Cancer Biology as evidenced by good published work is essential. Knowledge about functional anatomy and physiology of human brain, gene profiling, regulation and expression in normal and cancerous brain, role of transcription factors, protein purification and characterization methods, EMSA and FISH besides routine molecular biology techniques is desirable. Previous competence in molecular neuroscience, cell signaling, microarray, molecular immunology etc. and experience in dealing with brain biopsies would be an added asset.
