Applications are invited for a "Junior Research Fellow" (JRF) position to work on DST SERB (Govt. of India) sponsored project entitled "Production of High Fructose Syrup from Cellulosic Agro-Waste using Dual Enzyme Immobilization on Halloysite Nanotubes as Recyclable Biocatalysts”.

Duration: Three Years (renewable every year and co-terminus with project)
Fellowship: 25,000/- p.m. for first two years & 28,000/- p.m. for third year (consolidated)
Essential Qualifications: M.Tech. in one of these branches (Biochemical Engg./Bioprocess Engg./ /Biotechnology/Nanotechnology/Material Science OR M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Microbiology with 55 % marks or equivalent CGPA and valid GATE &/or CSIR-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF qualified. (Candidates who are supposed to complete their M.Tech/M.Sc. degrees by May 2016 can also apply. However, the appointment would summarily be cancelled if the candidate fails to meet the above qualifications at the time of joining)
Desired Qualifications: Candidates having prior experience in nanomaterials synthesis and /or handling enzyme based products and enzyme kinetics shall be preferred. Age limit: 28 Years (as on March 31, 2016)
