Position description:
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Lab of Genetic Engineering, Department of Biotechnology, Daegu University, South Korea. We are seeking a highly-motivated Postdoctoral candidate committed to research in natural products. The postdoctoral fellow will be involved in multidisciplinary, collaborative projects investigating and characterizing natural products from plant source and their Biological activities.
Qualifications:
Ideally, the candidate should be self-motivated, have a Ph.D. degree awarded on or not before 2012 in pharmaceutical/biomedical sciences, pharmacology, biochemistry, or related fields.
Applicants should have a strong background in isolation and purification of natural product from plant and evaluation of their biological activities like Anti-inflammatory, Anti-cancer, Anti-Microbial, Toxicity, etc. A demonstrated record of scientific accomplishment evidenced by at least one first-author paper, a strong work ethic, and strong intellectual commitments to the individual research project, are essential. The successful candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and stellar communication skills with fluency in both spoken and written English.
