2. Essential Qualification
(EQ)
i. Masters degree in Biological Sciences/Life Sciences in
First Class
ii. At least 6 months experience in project work in national
level organizations/institutions in the field of natural
resource management (NRM)
3. Desirable
Qualification (DQ)
i. Proven experience in technical/ research report
preparation
ii. Experience of working in global environmental policy
field with relevance to biodiversity conservation in India
4. Work description
i. Contribute effectively to a nationally driven review and
State government oriented appraisal of biodiversity relevant
programmes including finances to understand the impacts
on biodiversity
ii. Assist in planning, organization and execution of
Workshops, Side Events and engagement with
stakeholders.
iii. Liaise with various stakeholders in Uttarakhand States
under the project in respect of Biodiversity Expenditure
Review including at a district level.
iv. Any other tasks that may arise in the course of the
project
5. Duration 6 months initially with likelihood of extension for further
period(s)
6. Location of Project
site
Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun and frequent travel to
Ministries/ Departments of Government of India, New
Delhi and Uttarakhand State
7. Age Not more than 28 years on the closing date of
advertisement
8. Emoluments Rs. 20,000/ month plus HRA, medical and accident
insurance, phone/internet allowance as per Institute’s rules
9. Funding agency UNDP India
