Inviting applications for Project Position Date - 15/05/2017

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Research Associate (RA) under the supervision of Dr. Sabhyata Bhatia, Scientist, NIPGR in DBT- Sub-project-3B entitled “Dissecting molecular mechanisms involved in chickpea seed development” of Challenge Programme on Chickpea Functional Genomics.


Research Associate (RA 01 post): Emoluments as per project sanctions & DBT/DST norms.
Candidates having Ph.D (awarded) or equivalent in Life Sciences with strong publication records are eligible to apply. The candidate having experience in Plant Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics, Genomics and Bioinformatics will be given preference. Experince in advanced techniques of molecular biology and genetic transformation will be an added advantange. Excellent communication skills and motivation towards high research goals are expected. The candidate should have a good academic record and relevant research experience as evidenced from published papers in refereed journals.

The position is completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be curtailed/extended based on candidate’s performance, as per norms of the Institute and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above posts depending upon the qualification(s) and experience of the candidates. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms.
