Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar an autonomous Institute of the Department of
Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from
Indian Nationals to join in the following position in DBT- sponsored project “Integrative
genomics approach to identify the role of co-regulators in dendritic cell immune
responses and its impact on T helper cell differentiation”.
Name of position: Junior Research Fellow (01 No)
Fellowship: Rs. 25,000 per month+ @ 20% HRA
Eligibility and Selection: Candidates must hold a post-graduate degree with first class in
biological sciences (Life sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology)
with CSIR-UGC NET-LS or JRF qualification.
The candidate with hands on experience in
techniques such as cell culture, western blotting, Flow Cytometry (FACS), RT-qPCR and basic
molecular biology techniques would be given preference.
During the project work if the
candidate is found suitable, he/she could be registered as PhD student in the lab as per ILS
rules.
The project involves understanding the transcriptional control of dendritic cell immune
response development and identifying methods to modulate T helper cell differentiation. The
candidate will gain expertise in a variety of biochemical, immunological and high-throughput
genomic techniques.

Initial appointment
will be for one year, extendable up to three years or until termination of the project whichever
is earlier. The position is purely temporary. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
The decision of the Director regarding selection of candidates will be final and no
correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
