Applications are invited for the
position of Junior Research Fellow
on a fixed emolument on Rs/ 25000 + HRA (as applicable) per month in the
Science & Engineering Research Board
(SERB), DST, New Delhi sponsored research project (EMR/17/000098) entitled, “Metabolic Engineering of Potato ………………… of pyridoxine genes” sanctioned
for three years. The position is purely temporary and coterminous with the
project.
Essential
Qualifications:
(i). M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Plant Molecular Biology/ Botany, or
M.Tech Biotechnology (professional course) (ii) NET/GATE/ ICMR/ ICAR/ DBT-JRF or
equivalent examinationsas approved/recognized by DST, Govt of India
Desirable
qualification:
Working experience in Plant transformation, plant tissue culture, molecular
techniques and HPLC analysis
Upper
age limit:
Not exceeding 28 years (relaxable for five years to SC/ST/ female/ especially
abled persons (divyang). If all the qualifications are equal, then the SC/ST
candidate will be preferred. The reservation policy as per Central Govt. norms
is applicable.
The appointment will be initially for
one year and will be extended upon evaluation of satisfactory performance and
