IIIT-D Symposium on Network Biology | 28th October 2017

One Day Symposium on Network BiologyOne Day Symposium on Network Biology

Organizer: Dr. Ganesh Bagler, Center for Computational Biology @IIIT-Delhi.

Date: 28th Oct 2017, Saturday

Time: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

Venue: Academic Block, IIIT- Delhi

Motivation: Network Biology has emerged as an exciting domain of interdisciplinary research on the interface of computation, biology, and medicine. Going beyond the reductionist approaches, network biology provides a mathematical tool for modeling and analysis of biological systems. The abstract notion of graphs has been successfully applied for various applications including molecular interactome analysis (protein-protein interaction networks, gene regulatory networks, metabolic networks, transcriptional network), study of brain networks, modeling diseases as networks, network controllability, residue interaction graphs (protein structure networks), chemical reaction networks, flavor network and ecological networks, among others. In the ‘Symposium on Network Biology’, we are bringing some of the expert researchers working on the forefront of integrative biology to provide an exposition to various dimensions of methodology and applications of network biology.
Who should attend: Students, faculty, researchers and industry professionals who are either working or have interest in the field of Network Biology and its applications.
