TNAU-BIRAC invites MSc/MTech for Innovation Master Fellow Vacancy

Recruitment of BIRAC Innovation Post Master Fellow:

UIC-TNAU acts as a pre-incubation centre to foster innovation and entrepreneurial skills among young Post Master’s and Post Doctoral researchers. The fellowships are highly competitive and exceptionally motivated researchers who have an eye for innovation and drive for start-ups in the Biotechnology sector would be selected for the fellowships. Under UIC-TNAU three Post Masters Fellowship positions are available. 

Stipend / Fellowship (consolidated) : Rs 30,000 per month with an yearly innovation grant of Rs. 2,00,000/- 

Duration of Fellowship : Post Masters Fellowship is for two years. UIC-TNAU has the following focus areas under which the BIRAC Innovation Fellows will be selected. The qualification and eligibility are mentioned below. 

1 Molecular kits/diagnostics for plant/insect diseases  
2 Plant/Microbe based therapeutic/industrial compounds 
 3 Omics technologies for crop improvement 
 4 Big data analysis/Biotechnology services 
 5 Plant tissue culture 
 6 Nutraceuticals 

Essential: M. Sc. (Ag) / life sciences or Pharmacology or Biotechnology / ME / M. Tech in Agriculture /Biotechnology 

Eligible/Desirable: Master’s research related to the proposed project, experience related to product development / industrial research 

Who can apply? Candidates, who have completed their Master on and after 1st January, 2014, are eligible for Post Masters Fellowship position.

Applications will be reviewed and selected applicants will be called for project presentation and personal interview for final selection of the BIRAC Innovation Fellow. Only applicants who are selected for interview will be intimated through their respective email id.
