Research Technician Vacancy @ Centre for Brain Research, IISc

A Research Technician position is available in Smitha Karunakaran’s lab at the Centre for Brain Research, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore, India. The group focuses on understanding the neural circuit mechanisms underlying dementia using a broad range of techniques and animal models.

The successful candidate will be involved in:

Stereotaxic injections and behaviour

Basic molecular biology techniques (cloning, DNA, RNA and Protein extraction, RT-PCR, Western blotting);

Basic immuno-histochemistry and immunofluorescence techniques;

Coordinating laboratory stocks and ordering system;

Genotyping.
