The Bio-incubator at IIT-Kanpur is a state of the art incubator engaged in accelerated incubation, entrepreneurship, technology transfer and commercialization in biotechnology. With the infrastructure, expertise and experience available with the facility and alumni of IIT-Kanpur, it is the country’s leading incubation system for nurturing ideas and translating into commercially viable products. IIT-Kanpur provides an unparalleled network of mentors, industry, and government partners specializing in supporting start-ups. It provides incubation space, office space with the lowest lease terms, central instrumental facility, access to seed funding, residential facilities, etc. In addition, IIT-Kanpur provides support for technology development and validation, IPR, regulatory and compliance and fund mobilization to the incubates.

The Bio-incubator is supported by some of the biggest names of the Indian start-up ecosystem such as Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, Technology Development Board (TDB), Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India and National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.
