Junior Research Fellow (Project) (One position only) 

Dr. Arnab Mukhopadhyay Staff Scientist-V arnab@nii.ac.in 

Educational Qualifications: M.Sc or M.Tech in any area of Life Sciences with good academic record. Candidate should have cleared any National Level Eligibility Test i.e. (NET/GATE etc). 

Emoluments: The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications & experience Rs. 25,000 per month plus 30% HRA (As per DST OM dated 21.10.2014) 

Job description & Desired Knowledge: The selected candidate is expected to carry out research using C. elegans as a model system. 
 Hands-on experience in molecular biology (cloning, RNA isolation, quantitative real-time PCR, western blotting) is required. 
 Candidates with hands-on experience in C. elegans genetics or bioinformatic analysis (genomics, next generation sequencing, transcriptomics) or imaging using confocal microscopy as well as light microscopy will be preferred
