Following research positions are available for a period of up to 2–5 years starting from September
2018, in the project entitled ‘The role of gut microbial dysbiosis on the pathogenesis of chronic
pancreatitis and related metabolic abnormalities’ funded by DBT-Welcome Trust India Alliance.
1. Post-doctoral Fellow: One position
Required qualification: Ph.D. in Microbiology/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology.
Desirable experience: Bioinformatics and biostatistics.
Benefits: Contingent to performance, the fellow will be provided opportunity and platform to apply for
independent research funding; and mentorship towards career development.
3. Senior Research Fellow: One position
Required qualification: M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology with minimum experience of three
years with research publications.
Desirable experience: Familiarity with and hands-on experience in basic laboratory techniques.
Benefits: The fellow will be provided exposure to advanced laboratory techniques; and contingent
upon performance, he/she will be encouraged to handle experiments independently. He/she will also
be provided mentorship towards career development and will be encouraged to register for Ph.D.
4. Junior Research Fellow: One position
Required qualification: M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology.
Desirable experience: Familiarity with and hands-on experience in basic laboratory techniques.
Benefits: The fellow will be provided exposure to advanced laboratory techniques; and contingent
upon performance, he/she will be encouraged to handle experiments independently. He/she will also
be provided mentorship towards career development and will be encouraged to register for Ph.D.
Stipends will be based on DBT norms.
