NEHU Zoology/Biochemistry SRF Vacancy


Applications are invited for the post of one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and one  Contractual staff for field and laboratory work to be appointed for 3 years in a NASF-ICAR funded major research project entitled “To elucidate the unique biochemical adaptational strategies that allow two air-breathing catfishes (Clarias batrachus and Heteropneustes fossilis) to survive in ammonia enriched toxic waste” sanctioned to Prof. N. Saha, Biochemical Adaptation Lab., Department of Zoology, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong 793022 for a period of three years. Essential Qualification:
For SRF (1): M.Sc. in Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology with a good knowledge in the field of Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/Animal Physiology. Preference will be given to NET/GATE qualified candidates.
Contractual Staff (1): At least 12th standard pass with experience in field/laboratory work. Experience in MS office/other program is desirable.
