Project
Applications are invited from highly motivated and academically sound candidates with an interest to conduct high impact research on the topics of environmental importance. The project details and required essential qualifications are given below:
1 Project Title Treatment of Dumpsite Leachate by Indigenous Microflora
2 No. of Positions JRF- 1
3 Educational Qualifications Master Degree in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Environmental Science with 55% marks for General and 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC and CSIR-UGC NET/GATE/BET Qualified
4 Desired Qualifications Prior experience and understanding in isolation and characterization of microbes and bioremediation of toxins
5 Remuneration Rs. 25,000/- + HRA (as applicable) p.m
6 Age Limit
28 Years (as on the last date of application); relaxation for statutory groups and women as per GOI rules
The above position is for CSIR-NEERI Kolkata Zonal Center located in Kolkata. The engagement will be purely on temporary basis and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance. The engagement will be co-terminus with the project duration. The engagement shall not be an appointment in CSIR-NEERI, temporary or otherwise. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit for consideration for regularization/absorption.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce original certificates and testimonials regarding their educational qualifications, age proof, and should bring recent passport size photograph along with one set of self-attested copies of the same certificates and testimonials at the time of the interview.
