Advertisement for the project fellow post of DST-SERB sanctioned project under EMR Award Scheme
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the position of Project Fellow (purely temporary) in the following research project funded by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India, under the supervision of Dr. Satyanarayana Swamy Cheekatla (Principal Investigator), Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology, GITAM Institute of Science, GITAM (Deemed to be University), Visakhapatnam.
Project Title: Identification of chromatin accessibility domains in exhausted T Cells from human breast cancer.
Name of the Post: Project Fellow
Essential Qualifications: First class Master’s degree (M.Sc) in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Bioinformatics from a recognized university or institute with consistently good academic records.
Tenure of the Project : 3 years (starting from September 2018)
Registration for Ph.D.: Selected candidate shall register for full time Ph.D. programme at GITAM (Deemed to be University), Visakhapatnam.
Consolidated Salary/Stipend: Rs. 14,000 + HRA for the first & second year and Rs. 16,000 + HRA for the third year.
Duration: Initial appointment is for one year, which is extendable by another year solely based on the performance (total time period is 3 years).
