Summer Training Programme in Environmental Biotechnology
(June 13 - 28, 2019)
The Summer Training Programme in Environmental Biotechnology is two weeks long handson training course offered by the ICMR-National Institute for Research in Environmental
Health (ICMR-NIREH), Bhopal. Participants of this programme will experience the
excitement of working in a unique academic ambience apt for cutting-edge scientific
discourse. During this programme greater emphasis will be laid on the fundamental wet-lab
tools and techniques relevant to environmental biotechnology.
Course Content:
Basic techniques pertaining to cell biology, molecular immunology,
genetics and epigenetics shall be covered.

12) FACS-Cell Signaling Assays
13) Immunophenotyping
14) Cytometric Bead Array Assay
15) Histone Methylation Array
16) Primary Cell Culture
17) ELISA
18) Chromosomal Aberration Assay
19) G-banding & Micronuclei Assay
20) Colony Forming Assays
Eligibility: Students pursuing post-graduate courses in biological sciences, pharmaceutical
sciences and medical sciences are encouraged to apply.
Seats: Only 20 students will be admitted to the course.
Application Procedure: Application in the prescribed format available at ICMR-NIREH
website must reach us through e-mail at academics.nireh@gmail.com on or before 15 May,
2019.
Selection: Procedure of screening and selection will be based upon academic credentials
only. The list of selected candidates will be posted at institute’s website on 21 May, 2019.
Fees: Registration fee of the course is Rs. 5000/= only. No lodging/boarding shall be
provided and the participants shall have to make their own arrangements for the same.
