1. Applications are invited from interested candidates to work as a Post Doctoral Fellow (1 Positions) under project ‘’Characterization of telomerase mediated regulation of EGFR and BMP/SMAD signaling essential for proliferation and invasion in human brain tumors’’. 

The position is purely on a temporary basis and funded by the ISJRP (Indo Swiss Joint Research Program). 

Name of the post: Post doctoral Fellow 

Duration: Two years. 

Qualifications: Ph.D in Biological Sciences/Life Sciences/Bio medical Science 

Experience: Candidates with prior laboratory experience in mammalian cell culture and molecular cloning techniques is mandatory. 

Previous experience with viral vectors, cloning mammalian genes, biochemistry and animal tissue experiments is preferred. 

The role: The post holder will be primarily responsible to perform cell culture, molecular signaling experiments, biochemistry, vector transduction in vitro and in vivo, clinical sample processing and their bio-banking and participate in all the laboratory activities. Undertake other laboratory duties as responsibilities of this post. The post may also require travelling to collaborator laboratories to learn techniques or conduct experiments. 

Other selection criteria: 

· Interest in working in a specialist discipline in the field of human disease mechanisms and cancer.
· A team player with excellent communication skills, including the ability to write scientific text and present data

2. Applications are invited from interested candidates to work as a Research fellow/associate (2 Positions) under project to develop gene therapy vectors for inherited disorders and in mechanisms of ocular disease. The position is purely on a temporary basis with the possibility for further extension and to register for PhD upon fulfilling the necessary requirements. 

Name of the post: Research Fellow/associate 

Duration: Initially for one year and can be extended by two more years. 

Qualifications: M.Sc. in Biological Sciences/Life Sciences/Bio medical Science 

Experience: Candidates with prior laboratory experience in mammalian cell culture and molecular cloning techniques is mandatory. 

Previous experience with viral vectors, cloning mammalian genes, animal handling and animal tissue experiments is a plus. 

The role: The post holder will be primarily responsible to perform vector production, cell culture, vector transduction in vitro, mouse breeding, genotyping clinical sample processing and their bio-banking and participate in all the laboratory activities. Undertake other laboratory duties as responsibilities of this post. The post may require travelling to collaborator laboratories to perform animal experiments.

· Interest in working toward a PhD degree in a specialist discipline
