Applications are invited for the three posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) as permissible for the
following DST and DBT funded projects
Number of positions: Three
Duration of the fellowship: Three years and co-terminus with the project
Amount of fellowship: As per DST and DBT norms
Project 1: Carbon Nanodots Caged Nano-Gel for Therapeutic Drug Delivery of Latanoprost for
Glaucoma Management (PI: Dr K. Sudhakaraprasad, DST Sanction no. CRG/2018/000338).
Project 2: Development of Thermoresponsive Polymer Nanogels for Sustained Release of
Bevacizumab towards Efficient Treatment of Diabetic Macular Edema (PI: Dr Renjith P. Johnson, DST
Sanction no. CRG/2018/000380).
Project 3: Development and Application of High Resolution Genome Conformation Capture
Technology to Investigate Genome Architecture in Space and Time (Inter-institutional project; PI: Dr
Shyama Prasad Rao).
Project 1: Master’s Degree (M.Sc. or M.Tech. or equivalent) in Chemistry, Material Science,
Nanoscience/Nanotechnology with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
Project 2: Master’s Degree (M.Sc. or M.Tech. or equivalent) in Biopolymer Science, Polymer
Chemistry, Chemistry, Nanoscience/Nanotechnology with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent
CGPA or 2 years of post M.Sc. research experience with publication record and experience in
small animal experiments.
Project 3: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Bioinformatics/Biological Sciences/Statistics/Computer Science.
Essential skill: Bioinformatics, NGS data analyses, Databases, Data analyses, Research
experience and publications.
CSIR-NET/GATE qualified candidates will be given preference.
Candidates with good academic
record and excellent communication skills in written and spoken English are desirable. Selected
candidate will work in interdisciplinary field.
