Brief Description about the Project:
Molecular characterization of Autism Spectrum
Disorders
Neural substrates of autism using EEG, neuropsychology and neuroimaging
Developing an early intervention program for upscaling into public health
Developing a computational model for screening and early diagnosis of autism
Core Responsibilities:
Developing large databases within the institution samples and from across the country
Help with routine analysis of data
Evolve new models for analysis based on nature and spread of data
Support analysis of genetic and imaging data
Workshops of standard analytical methods for a varied target population
Support journal clubs
Support / work with informatics and machine learning experts wherever necessary
Key Skills:
Standard GLMs, SPSS, SAS, R
Desirable - database development / Non-linear models and Bayesian statistics
Interventional statistics, genetic epidemiology, spectral analysis
SPM-based image analysis
Specific Activities:
Create rapid analytical outputs on a weekly basis from database and bring up for discussions;
Analysis for all publishing efforts of the centre
Work in a multidisciplinary team and participate in all related meetings and deliberations;
The job involves being onsite 9am to 5pm at the very least and 6 days a week;
They will be expected to work late hours based on experiment needs
Also involves teaching and training students from clinical disciplines;
Occasional travel to extramural centres
Efforts to take up doctoral work in this area will be encouraged
