Hands-on-Workshop
on NGS sample preparation and data analysis:
18th-20th December 2019: Call for Applications
IBAB is organizing a 3-day
hands-on-workshop on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) from the 18th to 20th December
2019. The workshop combines both experimental and computational aspects of NGS.
The focus is on (1) the preparation of libraries from poly-A mRNA, with
critical discussions and troubleshooting sessions, and quantification and
quality control of the libraries prepared and (2) RNA seq data analysis
using ‘R’ tools.
Target Participants:
The course is aimed at researchers,
technicians who wish to employ genomic approaches in their work. Ph.D.
scholars/postdoctoral fellows/JRFs/faculty involved in relevant research are
eligible to apply. The course is beneficial to also those pursuing B.Sc./
B.Tech./ M.Sc./ M.Tech. in Biotechnology/Life Sciences/ Microbiology/
Biosciences/ Bioinformatics who wish to apply NGS technology. Teachers from
undergraduate and postgraduate teaching institutions and research
institutes across the state of Karnataka are also encouraged to apply to
the workshop.
