by
Dr. Jidnyasa Mulekar
Date: March 21-22, 2020

Venue: Science Media Centre, IISER Pune

Overview: PhD. is like a delicious dish with many ingredients. One ingredient goes missing, and the taste alters. Literature research, experimental work, verbal communication, written communication, presentation skill and understanding are the key ingredients here. Often in the tenure of PhD, one focuses more on the experimental work than everything else. Therefore, the flavor of the remaining ingredients is diminished. 1. Developing the concept of scientific communication
2. Basics of English language and grammar

4. Basics of writing a scientific journal article
5. How to present a paper to lay-readers
6. A session with a current post-doctoral fellow at NIH, Bethesda, USA on verbal communication skills (tentative)
