INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR UNIVERSITY RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS
Applications are invited in prescribed format for University Research Fellowship from the
eligible candidates enrolled in different Departments as well as Centres of University of Calcutta.
This fellowship is funded by the Government of West Bengal vide G.O. no. 01(19)-Edn(U)/1U10/94 dated Kolkata 4th January, 2016.
The amount of fellowship is consolidated Rs. 18,000/- p.m.
for JRF and Rs. 20,000/- for SRF.
Eligibility:
1. Enrollment in Ph.D. programme under University of Calcutta.
2. Successful qualification in NET/GATE/SET Examination.
Other important terms & conditions:
1. No House Rent Allowance will be provided.
2. No contingency will be allowed to individual student/scholar.
3. The duration of the fellowship is for 4 (four) years only, extendable up to one more
year only in deserving cases.
The selected fellows will generally be treated as per UGC guidelines unless the Department of
Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal revises or introduces any further rules regarding this
fellowship.
The application profroma is available in the Office of the Development & Planning Officer; C.U.
(3rd floor Darbhanga Building, College Street Campus). The complete application along with
requisite documents duly attested by the HOD/ Director/ Co-ordinator must be submitted to the
DPO office not later than 20.03.2020.
