Essential Qualification
i. First class Master’s degree in Microbiology/Medical Lab
Technology from a recognized university with 2 years
experience in field covering above subject areas.
OR
ii. Second class M.Sc + Ph.D degree, both in
Microbiology/Medical Lab Technology from a recognized
University
Desirable
Qualification and
Experience
i. Doctoral degree/Post-doctoral experience in
Microbiology/Medical Lab Technology/Molecular
Biology/Infectious diseases
ii. Knowledge of Computer Applications/Bioinformatics
Emoluments Rs.48,000/- per month (plus HRA)
Notes Ph.D. in relevant subject shall be treated equivalent to three years
experience
Age Limit SC – 40 years (including 5 years age relaxation)
Nature of Duties
i. To plan and implement laboratory components of the
project
ii. Prepare lab SOPs for the project
iii. Train the project staff in field-based sample collection
iv. Supervise sample collection, transport, testing, reporting
and QA/QC
v. Documentation and maintenance of laboratory records
vi. Any other work assigned by the Director/PI/Co-PI/Superior
officer
Duration One year (Renewable for the project duration subject to
performance and project requirement)
